AAND's Sensitive skin Intensive care

Our Approach to Acute and Chronic Dermatitis

At A& Clinic, we do not promise that persistent or recurring dermatitis — such as atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, or rosacea — or sensitive skin can be completely cured with just one treatment. However, we firmly believe that steady care and consistent treatment can lead to clear and meaningful improvement.

Our Efforts to Find the Root Cause

In many cases, the underlying cause of chronic dermatitis is difficult to identify. Even so, at A& Clinic, we continue to investigate the cause because we believe in a simple truth: “Every effect has a cause.” We believe that finding the factors that trigger or aggravate dermatitis is the most important step toward achieving lasting improvement.

Dermatitis can develop or worsen for many different reasons — from allergies to newly introduced skincare products, clothes worn for the first time, a new environment, stress, alcohol, smoking, and lack of sleep. Because there are so many possible contributing factors, A& Clinic carefully reviews each patient’s history and performs blood tests when needed. Through this process, we aim to identify the underlying cause and assess the condition more objectively using measurable clinical indicators.

Our Focus on Managing Aggravating Factors

Itching is one of the most common and difficult symptoms of dermatitis. At A& Clinic, we often explain to patients that while pain can often be managed with painkillers, itching is more complex and can be much harder to control. Because itching leads to scratching, and scratching can cause further irritation, wounds, and worsening inflammation, managing itch and minimizing scratching are key steps in treating dermatitis.

Our Goals in Treating Dermatitis

"Sustainable Management of Chronic Dermatitis"

Our treatment goal is to support sustainable, personalized maintenance and
recovery while minimizing long-term reliance on oral and topical steroids.

1. Breaking the Cycle of Itching and Repeated Skin Damage
Dermatitis can be seen as a form of “wound,” as the affected skin is damaged and different from healthy tissue. Itching and scratching cause additional injury to already irritated skin, which can further activate the skin’s repair response and lead to more itching and inflammation. At A& Clinic, our treatment focuses on breaking this recurring cycle and helping the skin recover from repeated inflammation.

2. Managing and Treating Allergies
For some patients with chronic dermatitis, allergies may play an important role. At A& Clinic, we perform appropriate blood tests when needed and use the results to guide sustainable allergy management and treatment together with dermatitis care.

3. We focus on preventing and treating secondary infections that may occur with dermatitis.
When the skin barrier is weakened, the skin becomes more vulnerable to bacteria and other external pathogens. Scratching can further increase the risk of infection. At A& Clinic, we focus on preventing and treating secondary infections, which commonly occur with chronic dermatitis, in order to break the cycle of worsening inflammation and support sustainable long-term management.

Applicable Conditions for AAND’s Sensitive Skin Intensive Care Program

Acute wound
This treatment is used for traumatic wounds, abrasions, lacerations, and wounds that may occur after procedures. By protecting the wound surface and maintaining a moist healing environment, it helps support faster recovery, reduce the risk of infection, and promote healthy skin regeneration.

Atopic Dermatitis · Eczema
This treatment is used when the skin barrier has been repeatedly damaged by scratching and inflammation. The wound dressing protects the affected skin, helps support recovery, and may also help reduce itching and lower the risk of secondary infection.

Contact Dermatitis · Seborrheic Dermatitis / Rosacea
This treatment may be applied to skin damaged by chemicals, cosmetics, friction, and other irritants, as well as to seborrheic dermatitis and rosacea. By protecting the skin while inflammation subsides, it helps create a stable environment for recovery and focuses on restoring the skin barrier in sensitive skin conditions.

Skin injuries that may lead to scarring
This treatment may be used as supportive care when there is concern about scarring during wound healing. It helps create a favorable environment for normal skin regeneration and is especially useful for wounds on the face or other visible areas.

Sunburn and Photosensitive Skin Reaction
This treatment helps soothe symptoms caused by sun exposure, from itchy red rashes to sunburn, while supporting the recovery of a weakened skin barrier.

We do not stop at simply relieving immediate discomfort.
We provide sustainable management and treatment plans for long-term improvement.
